Purpose of Position

The Assistant Superintendent is a key member of the leadership team, helping deliver elite course conditions while developing management skills in a positive, team-oriented environment built on communication, trust, and shared goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily Golf Course Management operations
• Help lead, train, and mentor staff
• Assign and supervise job duties
• Support scheduling and workforce planning
• Maintain fertilizer, pesticide, water, and safety records
• Assist with budgeting and capital project coordination
• Ensure safe chemical handling and storage
• Support internship mentoring and development
• Foster a positive, respectful, and team-driven culture
• Pursue continuing education and certifications

Experience & Education

• Degree in turfgrass management or related field preferred
• Turf certificate candidates considered
• Minimum two years golf course experience
• Leadership or crew management experience preferred
• Strong work ethic and commitment to growth

Salary & Benefits

• $72,000 – $75,000 salary, based on experience
