Assistant Superintendent

Assist the Superintendent in the day to day operations of the golf course. Communicate with the Superintendent about the course and crew. Manage crew in daily routine of projects and train staff on proper course maintenance procedures. Apply pesticides and fertilizers. Must be knowledgeable or become immediately knowledgeable in the TORO Network VP irrigation system. Knowledge and operation skills of all golf course equipment are required. This position requires work weeks in excess of 40 hours during the growing season.

Position Details

Pay: Commensurate with experience and paid at an hourly rate

Duties: Work area includes two 18 hole golf courses, Driving Range, Tennis, Beach Club and numerous other areas outside of Golf. Fertilizer/Pesticide Applications, Irrigation Operation and Repair, Daily Course Set up, Crew Assignments, Supervision and Training.

Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in a management position at a golf course, Licensed Pesticide Applicator, preferably Category 37 Turf,

Education: 2 year degree in Turf or related field or certificate in Turf Management

Spray / Irrigation Technician

Position Details

Pay: Commensurate with experience and paid at an hourly rate

Duties: Assist in all pesticide and fertilizer applications. Operation, maintenance and repair of the Toro VP irrigation system. Will also be highly involved in all aspects of fine turf maintenance.

Experience: Massachusetts Applicators Core License. Must have experience operating and repairing Toro irrigation system.

Special Requirements: Must be able to work overtime as needed during the growing season and work many different schedules as spraying duties require or irrigation or other emergencies arise.

Education:  2 years experience in job description
