Job Opening for Second Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Course Description
White Cliff’s Country Club is an 18 hole Par 62 golf course located on Cape Cod Bay.  The Club was re built in 1986 and consists of poa/bent greens and fairways, and bent grass tees. WCC is surrounded by an award winning condominium complex, and offers a unique opportunity for the right candidate.       

Responsibilities
The applicant will be responsible for assisting in the day to day operation, all cultural management, course record keeping, and participate in training and supervising a staff of up to 20.  He/She will directly assist in the implementation of chemical and fertilizer schedules and applications; irrigation repairs and scheduling; and snow removal duties. 

Qualifications
A.B.S. or A.S. in agronomy/horticulture/plant/soil science, and 2 years experience as a second assistant or related management experience are desirable. Must have excellent computer and communication skills.  Must hold a valid driver’s license, a Massachusetts Pesticide license, and the ability to obtain a Massachusetts hoisting engineer’s license. 

Compensation
Salary will be commensurate with experience, health and dental, 401K, local and national dues, and educational seminars with management approval, paid vacation, uniforms, and golfing privileges.

GOLF DEPARTMENT
ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT

Description:  This position is full time, 40 hours/week. Hourly union rate is $22.48 - $28.20.
Position is responsible for tasks which support the Superintendent in the overall operations of the Department including, when required, performing the duties of the Superintendent. Duties include but are not limited to supervision of employees, budget preparation, preparation of payroll,
purchasing, and grounds maintenance including safe application of pesticides. 

Qualifications:  Must be a high school graduate or hold an equivalency certificate. Some college education in a related field such as turf management is preferred. MA pesticide license preferred. 
A minimum of five (5) years in increasingly responsible golf course grounds and equipment
maintenance and repair position, including at least three (3) years in an administrative and
supervisory capacity.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF GOLF OPERATIONS /ADMINISTRATIVE

Description:   The Town of Dennis is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Assistant Golf Director/Administrator.  Located in the Mid-Cape area of Cape Cod, the Town is the proud owner of two (2) public play championship golf courses, the Dennis Pines Golf Course and the Dennis Highlands Golf Course.  Each course accommodates over 50,000 rounds of golf annually as well as hosting several local, regional and state amateur and professional golf tournaments. 

Responsibilities/Qualifications:  This individual is responsible for overseeing and directing all administrative/financial responsibilities for the golf administration.  Major responsibilities include coordination and direction of seasonal pro shop staff, purchasing, budget preparation and capital planning.  The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator with solid interpersonal and organizational skills; must have strong financial knowledge (planning, preparation, administration); and have the ability to establish and manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.  Minimum qualifications include an associate’s degree in business management or equivalent, five (5) or more years experience in business management with a strong financial and accounting background, and the daily operation of a golf course with supervisory authority. 

Compensation:  Salary and benefits are commensurate with qualifications.
